Happy Birthday Brandon!

Wow I'm a little slow at this and how horrible am I for not getting any pictures!? Brandon turned 27 last Thursday. He went to work in the morning, then got off early so we could meet with our real estate agent for a few hours and then we went to eat at Famous Daves. Brandon wanted some things for his office at work so that's what he got... some motivational pictures, a planner, memory upgrade for his laptop and some shirts. I hope you had a great birthday babe, I'll make the next one more memorable with pictures.

Bubba

Here's the latest picture from Bubba who's on his mission in Trinidad and Tabago. He's got until September and we get to see him again! He's doing great and as it looks like, having a ton of fun.

FUN

My cousin Shanna, her husband Jon and their little girl Kinley came over last night to hang out for awhile. They are about 6 months apart in age. They are so funny with each other...they steal toys from each other, tease each other and then give hugs and kisses. I love watching Kayli play with other kids, I don't get to very often. That's why we can't wait for Lauren to have her baby! :D

Happy V-Day

We had a SNOWY valentines day like everyone else, so we decided to bail our plans of going to Salt Lake to the Cheesecake Factory and a movie. We chilled in our small town and went to Maddox. After we just rented a movie and stayed in our cozy place.

I love this guy! He is the best I could ever ask for.

I just wanted to show these pictures to show a complete change in Kayli. Haha, all sweet and innocent...

to little brat. :D
Hope everyone had a good V-day.

Blog Update

Last night Karin and Syari came over. Syari is a foreign exchange student from Japan that my parents have staying at their house until May. We had pizza, made valentine cookies and played clue. It was a fun night.

The night before that Talecia and Jason had some extra Jazz tickets so we went with them. It was a late game but it was fun and Kayli loved all the upbeat music they played every 2 minutes. Thanks for the invite guys!

Here is Kayli with her BFF Maddy. This is who she plays with all day while I'm at school. They are about a month and a half apart. They love playing with each other.

The OR (Operating Room)

For school I was able to be in the operating room right next to the patient and doctors operating. I arrived at 6 AM and got dressed into scrubs that looked exactly like all the workers. I was able to see a few surgeries, not anything too serious...they were all made by appointment so none were emergent. I saw a hernia repair, carpal tunnel release, ear tube removal, colonoscopy, and a septoplasty (correction of deviated nasal septum). The last one I was watching (the septoplasty) was quite a long procedure and kind of monotonous. I had this face mask on (I looked exactly like one in those pictures) and I really felt clostrophobic. About halfway through I started to feel funny and light headed so I left the room before I passed out. I don't really think it was what I saw that did it, just the feeling of not being able to breathe. I decided the OR will not be a place I work as a nurse when I graduate. Definitely an experience. I'll be visiting it again in a few weeks for school. Yay.

Happy New Year

New Years Eve

I don't know how long they've had this tradition, but the Sturdevants gather up the Christmas trees, surround them with fireworks, soil them in gasoline and light them at midnight. I guess this year Ron just didn't add enough gasoline.

Here's Haley with Kayli before she left for her New Years Eve Party. Doesn't Haley look beautiful?

New Years Day

We took Kayli sledding for her first time. She was a little scared at first but after a few minutes she started giggling. She even was willing to taste the snow. We weren't out for too long, but it was fun while it lasted.
